How can you make sure is your boyfriend is being honest ????

me and my boyfriend live like 15 min apart from each other so we don't see each other too often.one of my friend who knows him for 4 years told me that he was a dad that her daugther was in mexico and that and he just came to the USA to work and i stupidly believe her and i went to see him and i got upset and told him that why would he lied to me about something like that and he denied it and told me that my friend was lying and he saw me in the eyes and my heart told me that he wasn't lying to me.so i stop arguing with him and then i found out that my friend told one of my other friend the same thing about her boyfriend and we stop talking to her. but i feel like my boyfriend think the i don't trust him and he change,now he telling me everything about his day and telling me like every 20 min how he miss me it's okay but now i feel like he is trying too hard to keep me happy you know what i mean how can i make sure that he knows that i still trust him???How can you make sure is your boyfriend is being honest ????
